Esta carta, Earthbind, beneficiaría a un mazo rojo agresivo que busca interrumpir criaturas voladoras y mantener el control del tablero. Aunque Earthbind puede ser efectiva en ciertas situaciones, hay mejores opciones como Lightning Bolt o Chain Lightning para daño directo o cartas como Blood Moon para una interrupción más amplia, lo que hace que Earthbind sea menos probable que se juegue en mazos competitivos de Magic: the Gathering.
