Demonio de la necrópolis, Criatura — demonio, diseñada por Svetlin Velinov lanzado por primera vez en junio de 2002 en edición Magic Online Promos y fue impreso exactamente en 6 diferentes formas. Actualmente se vende al precio más bajo de R$ 0,05.

Un mazo que se centra en la recursión del cementerio y las estrategias de control se beneficiaría al incluir Necropolis Fiend, ya que puede aprovechar la mecánica de Delve para reducir su costo de lanzamiento y su capacidad de exiliar cartas del cementerio para debilitar a las criaturas enemigas. Sin embargo, hay opciones potencialmente mejores disponibles para efectos similares, como Gurmag Angler o Tasigur, the Golden Fang, que ofrecen habilidades más eficientes y versátiles. Necropolis Fiend puede tener dificultades para ver juego en mazos competitivos debido a su alto costo de maná y su impacto limitado en comparación con otras opciones.

Because delve isn’t an alternative cost, it can be used in conjunction with alternative costs, such as flashback. It can also be used to pay for additional costs that include generic mana.

Delve doesn’t change a spell’s mana cost or converted mana cost. For example, Treasure Cruise’s converted mana cost is 8 even if you exiled three cards to cast it.

The rules for delve have changed slightly since it was last in an expansion. Previously, delve reduced the cost to cast a spell. Under the current rules, you exile cards from your graveyard at the same time you pay the spell’s cost. Exiling a card this way is simply another way to pay that cost.

You can’t exile cards to pay for the colored mana requirements of a spell with delve.
