Persist's ability will trigger, return Putrid Goblin to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter and a Vigilance counter
Activate Tayam's ability, remove Generous Patron and Putrid Goblin's counters.
Retain priority and sacrifice Generous Patron to add two mana with Ashnod's Altar
Return Generous Patron to the battlefield
Repeat the process to give Tayam infinite power.
