A control deck that focuses on tapping down opponent's creatures would benefit from using Righteous Fury, as it can serve as a board wipe while also gaining you life. However, a card like Wrath of God or Day of Judgment may be better options for a more efficient board wipe effect, unless your deck specifically benefits from gaining life.
