A deck that focuses on casting red instant and sorcery spells, such as burn or control decks, would benefit greatly from Pyromancer's Goggles as it essentially doubles the effectiveness of these spells. While Pyromancer's Goggles can be a powerful card in the right deck, it may be considered slow and vulnerable to removal, so it may not always see play in competitive settings. However, a similar card that could be considered better in some situations is Primal Amulet, which not only reduces the cost of spells but also transforms into a land that can double the effectiveness of spells.

If a copy is created, you control the copy. That copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger. The copy will then resolve like a normal spell, after players get a chance to cast spells and activate abilities.

For example, if you sacrifice a 3/3 creature to cast Fling, and you copy it, the copy of Fling will also deal 3 damage to its target.
