This card, Skola Grovedancer, would fit well in a green-based graveyard or mill deck that focuses on gaining life and utilizing lands in the graveyard. While it offers a unique ability to gain life whenever a land card is put into the graveyard, there may be more efficient cards for similar effects in competitive play, such as Ramunap Excavator or Crucible of Worlds. However, for a casual or thematic deck centered around lands and life gain, Skola Grovedancer could definitely see play and add an interesting dynamic to the gameplay.

Because Skola Grovedancer’s ability triggers when land cards are put into your graveyard “from anywhere,” Skola Grovedancer must be on the battlefield immediately after a land card is put there in order to trigger. This means that if Skola Grovedancer dies at the same time as a land you control, its ability won’t trigger.
