About Allied Strategies

This card, Allied Strategies, would benefit a deck that focuses on having a diverse range of basic land types among its lands. Decks that run multiple colors and have a strong mana base with various basic land types would get the most value out of this card. However, there are better cards that provide card advantage in Magic: the Gathering, such as Sphinx's Revelation or Fact or Fiction, which offer more immediate and impactful card draw options. While Allied Strategies can be situationally useful, it may not see widespread play in competitive decks due to the availability of more efficient card draw options.

The basic land types are Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest. Land types other than basic land types (such as Desert) don’t contribute to domain abilities.

How many lands you control of a particular basic land type is irrelevant to a domain ability, as long as that number is greater than zero. As far as domain is concerned, ten Forests is the same as one Forest.

You draw one card per basic land type, not for each basic land. This makes it a maximum of 5 cards.
