Cette carte profiterait à un deck Contrôle cherchant à perturber la stratégie de l'adversaire en limitant ses options. Bien que la probation académique puisse être utile dans certaines situations, il existe probablement de meilleures options disponibles, telles que Meddling Mage ou Sorcerous Spyglass, qui offrent des effets plus polyvalents et plus puissants. Dans l’ensemble, la Probation Académique pourrait ne pas être très utilisée dans les decks compétitifs en raison de son utilité limitée par rapport aux autres options.
