Un mazo de control que se centra en el tempo y en interrumpir el tablero del oponente se beneficiaría al incluir Rush of Ice. Aunque proporciona una forma barata y eficiente de aturdir a una criatura clave y mantenerla bloqueada durante un turno, puede haber opciones mejores disponibles dependiendo de la estrategia específica del mazo, como Vapor Snag o Unsummon para mayor flexibilidad. Sin embargo, Rush of Ice aún podría verse jugar en ciertos metajuegos o mazos que buscan un efecto específico.
