Imp's Mischief è particolarmente utile nei mazzi di controllo o combo che fanno affidamento sull'interruzione delle magie chiave degli avversari, specialmente quelle che prendono di mira le tue creature o i tuoi punti vita, permettendoti di reindirizzare gli effetti dannosi e ottenendo potenzialmente un vantaggio. Sebbene esistano alternative come Deflecting Swat o Misdirection, che possono anche cambiare bersaglio, potrebbero non sempre soddisfare gli stessi requisiti di costo di mana o colore. Imp's Mischief dovrebbe essere giocato in mazzi che possono gestire efficacemente la perdita di punti vita e vogliono mantenere il controllo sul gioco, ma la sua inclusione dipenderebbe dalla strategia generale e dalla sinergia del mazzo.

If a spell has multiple targets but is targeting the same thing with all of them (such as Seeds of Strength targeting the same creature three times), you can’t target that spell with Imp’s Mischief.

If there is no other legal target for the spell, the spell’s target isn’t changed. You still lose the life.

Once the spell resolves, the new target is considered to be targeted by the deflected spell. This will trigger any effects which trigger on being targeted.

The target of a spell that targets another spell on the stack can be changed to any other spell on the stack, even if the new target will resolve before the spell does.
