Questa carta, Coperta della Notte, sarebbe utile per un mazzo mono-nero che mira a sfruttare il tipo Palude per varie sinergie come attivare abilità landfall o beneficiare delle carte che si interessano delle Paludi. Tuttavia, ci sono alternative migliori come Urborg, Tomba di Yawgmoth, che trasforma tutti i terreni in Paludi senza la necessità di spendere mana aggiuntivo. Se Blanket of Night dovrebbe essere giocata dipenderebbe dalla strategia specifica e dalla sinergia del mazzo, poiché potrebbe avere applicazioni di nicchia in determinati scenari.

The ability is a land type change effect so it is ordered along with other land type change effects in the order they entered the battlefield.

The land can now be tapped for black mana in addition to any other abilities it already has. This works just as if the text “: Add ” was added to each mana-producing land. In other words, the land can be tapped for its own ability _or_ it can be tapped for black mana. Not both.
