Questa carta di Rules Lawyer sarebbe di grande beneficio per un mazzo di controllo che mira a proteggere i suoi permanenti e prevenire situazioni di fine partita, fornendo uno strato di protezione forte contro varie azioni basate sullo stato. Mentre Rules Lawyer offre una protezione unica e potente, potrebbe non essere la scelta più efficiente per il gioco competitivo a causa del suo alto costo di mana e della sua vulnerabilità agli incantesimi di rimozione. Altre carte come Teferi, Time Raveler o Gideon Blackblade potrebbero offrire una protezione simile insieme a un'utilità aggiuntiva, rendendole potenzialmente scelte migliori per l'inclusione in un mazzo.

If you somehow control a creature that’s attached to another permanent, that creature can stay attached. It can attack and block, even if another creature is carrying it. Similarly, if you control a permanent that isn’t an Aura, an Equipment, or a Fortification, it can stay attached to whatever you manage to get it attached to. Strange. (704.5p)
