Il Mostro Gitrog è una carta potente che sarebbe utile in un mazzo focalizzato sulle terre, in particolare uno che mira a rampare rapidamente e a pescare carte in modo efficiente. Anche se ha lo svantaggio di dover sacrificare terre, i benefici del tocco letale, dei turni extra delle terre e della pesca delle carte lo rendono una scelta forte per i mazzi che cercano di sfruttare le sinergie delle terre.
