Un mazzo che si concentra sulla ricorsione degli incantesimi e sul controllo, come ad esempio un mazzo di controllo Grixis in Magic: the Gathering, trarrebbe grandi benefici dall'includere Geistblast. La sua capacità di infliggere danni e poi potenzialmente copiare un incantesimo o una magia istantanea cruciale può fornire flessibilità e portata preziose in una partita. If the spell being copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Avacyn’s Judgment’s madness cost has), the copy will have the same value of X.

The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
