Longtusk Cub, Creature — cat, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 4.82.
A deck that focuses on generating and utilizing energy counters would benefit from including Longtusk Cub, as it provides a consistent source of energy when dealing combat damage. However, in a competitive setting, there are more efficient cards like Voltaic Brawler or Bristling Hydra that offer stronger abilities and impact on the board, making them better choices over Longtusk Cub. While Longtusk Cub can be a fun and thematic inclusion in casual energy-based decks, it may not see play in more optimized or competitive decks due to its lower power level compared to other options available.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.
