Un mazzo che si concentra su strategie aggressive e mira a infliggere rapidamente danni all'avversario trarrebbe beneficio da Leyline of Punishment, poiché impedisce all'avversario di guadagnare vita e ferma la prevenzione dei danni. Tuttavia, ci sono altre carte come Skullcrack o Atarka's Command che offrono effetti simili fornendo anche utilità aggiuntiva, rendendole potenzialmente opzioni migliori a seconda del mazzo e della strategia specifici. Effects that would replace gaining life with some other effect won’t be able to do anything because it’s impossible for players to gain life.
