Un mazzo di controllo che si concentra sulla distruzione degli avversari che fanno molto affidamento su segnalini, segnalini +1/+1 o altri tipi di segnalini trarrebbe vantaggio dall'utilizzo di Solennità in Magic: the Gathering. Anche se Solennità può essere efficace nel bloccare determinate strategie, ci sono carte migliori come \[\[Gabbia del Grafdigger\]\] o \[\[Riposa in pace\]\] che offrono un odio al cimitero più ampio e di maggiore impatto. Solennità potrebbe vedere il gioco come un'opzione del sideboard in matchup specifici, ma potrebbe non essere un punto fermo del mazzo principale a causa del suo focus ristretto.

Damage from a source with infect has no effect on creatures or players. No -1/-1 counters are put on creatures, and no damage is marked on them. Players don’t get poison counters and they don’t lose life. The damage is still dealt for purposes of effects that care about damage, such as lifelink.

If a creature with tribute is entering the battlefield, the chosen opponent can’t pay tribute even if they want to.
