Questa carta Thalakos Deceiver sarebbe un ottimo inserimento per un mazzo di controllo che si concentra nel disturbare la strategia del tuo avversario e prendere il controllo delle creature chiave sul campo di battaglia. Anche se offre la capacità unica di rubare creature, ci sono potenzialmente opzioni migliori come Control Magic o Treachery che forniscono effetti più consistenti e potenti. Thalakos Deceiver potrebbe trovare spazio in mazzi specifici alla ricerca di un furto a sorpresa, ma in generale, la sua natura situazionale potrebbe limitarne l'inclusione nel gioco competitivo.

If an attacking creature has multiple evasion abilities, such as shadow and flying, a creature can block it only if that creature satisfies all of the appropriate evasion abilities.

An ability that triggers when something “attacks and isn’t blocked” triggers in the declare blockers step after blockers are declared if (1) that creature is attacking and (2) no creatures are declared to block it. It will trigger even if that creature was put onto the battlefield attacking rather than having been declared as an attacker in the declare attackers step.
