This Darkwater Egg card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on blue and black mana, as it provides mana fixing and card draw. However, there are better options available such as Dimir Signet or Talisman of Dominance, which provide immediate mana acceleration without the need to sacrifice the artifact. Darkwater Egg could still see play in budget decks or in decks that specifically require artifact sacrifice synergies, but overall, it may not be the most competitive choice compared to other mana fixing options.
