MTG and Secret Lair: Menery is immortalized with Sheldon's Spellbook collection!

After a years-long battle with throat cancer, Sheldon Menery, the creator of the Commander format, passed away last year. This format became the most popular and with its departure, the community was heartbroken.

Magic: The Gathering had revealed that it would release a card in honor of Menery, its art was revealed during last year's Magic Con.

Since then, nothing else has been mentioned until today. In partnership with Secret Lair, a new charity campaign will be carried out under the title Sheldon’s Spellbook, it will contain 7 cards shown during a live stream on the Commander Rules Committee channel on Twitch.

Pre-Order

During the broadcast, it was announced that the pre-order will start on February 26th and will run until March 24th, with half of the amount raised from the campaign going to the American Cancer Society.

It will be possible to purchase the foil and non-foil version of Sheldon’s Spellbook, costing US$ 49.99 and US$ 39.99, respectively. All cards will have the standard card background and their artwork was designed in part by Menery. The Greater Good card will come out in an Italian version to honor Sheldon's Italian heritage.
