While Mind Rot is a decent budget option for hand disruption, there are more efficient cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek that offer more immediate impact by allowing you to choose which cards to discard. However, if budget constraints are a concern, Mind Rot could still see play in a deck looking to disrupt the opponent's hand size.
