Recursive Recruitment는 생물 토큰, +1/+1 카운터, 희생 수단 또는 마법사/병사 부족 시너지의 이득을 보면서 무덤을 안정적으로 채울 수 있는 청색-흑색 자기 밀, 감시 또는 무덤 중심 덱에 가장 잘 어울린다. 특히 리미티드나 캐주얼 Commander에서 매력적인데, 일반적으로 발동하면 생물 둘을 만들고 후반의 회상은 커다란 토큰들을 만들 수 있기 때문이다. 하지만 경쟁적 컨스트럭티드에서는 2/2 둘에 4마나는 대체로 너무 느리고, 카운터 보너스가 있더라도 8마나 회상은 비싸다. 토큰 생성이 목적이라면 Bitterblossom, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic 또는 Sedgemoor Witch 같은 카드가 대개 더 효율적으로 토큰을 생성하며, Living Death, Rise from the Tides 또는 Syr Konrad, the Grim 같은 재애니메이션 주문이나 자기 밀 보상은 더 강력한 무덤 보상을 제공한다. 주로 느린 무덤-토큰 Commander 덱의 시너지 카드 또는 적절한 리미티드 포함 카드로 플레이될 만하지만, Cadet 토큰 유형이나 카운터 상호작용이 그 환경에서 유난히 가치 있지 않은 한 대부분의 최적화된 덱에 충분히 강력할 가능성은 낮다.

"Flashback [cost]" means "You may cast this card from your graveyard if the resulting spell is an instant or sorcery spell by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost" and "If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack."

A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.

If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it's legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The mana value of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card's type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using flashback only when you could normally cast a sorcery.
