Een kaartspel waarin directe schade of burn-spreuken centraal staan, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Bitter Feud in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het de schade aan specifieke tegenstanders vergroot. Er zijn echter betere opties zoals Furnace of Rath of Dictate of the Twin Gods, die een soortgelijk effect bieden voor dezelfde manakosten of minder. Bitter Feud wordt misschien niet veel gespeeld in competitieve decks vanwege het situationele karakter en de beschikbaarheid van efficiëntere alternatieven.

Bitter Feud applies to damage dealt by any source controlled by one of the chosen players, not just combat damage.

If there are two Bitter Feuds on the battlefield, and the same two players were chosen for each, damage dealt will be doubled for each. So, two Bitter Feuds will end up multiplying the damage by four, three will multiply the damage by eight, and four by sixteen.
