Deze Blinding Mage-kaart zou nuttig zijn in een controle- of tempodeck dat tot doel heeft het bord van de tegenstander te verstoren door belangrijke wezens af te tikken. Hoewel het een nuttige hulpkaart kan zijn, zijn er potentieel betere opties zoals Reflector Mage of Deputy of Detention die extra effecten bieden die verder gaan dan alleen het tikken op een wezen. Of Blinding Mage het spel zou zien spelen, hangt af van de specifieke strategie en synergieën van het deck waarvoor het wordt overwogen.
