Een kaartspel dat zich richt op agressieve wezenstrategieën en gevechtsmanipulatie zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Capricopian, omdat het flexibiliteit biedt bij het kiezen van zijn doelwit en snel in macht kan groeien. Er zijn echter potentieel betere kaarten zoals Ghalta, Primal Hunger of Questing Beast die meer impactvolle vaardigheden en hogere kloksnelheden bieden, waardoor Capricopian minder snel spel ziet in competitieve Magic: the Gathering-decks.
