This card, Dead Ringers, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on controlling the board by removing multiple creatures at once, especially in a format where nonblack creatures are prevalent. While Dead Ringers can be effective in certain situations, there are potentially better options available such as Damnation or Toxic Deluge, which offer more flexibility and efficiency in creature removal. Both of the target creatures must be exactly the same color or combination of colors. Both being colorless is also okay. If they differ in any way, you can still cast the spell, but it does not do anything on resolution.
