Doodsvlek, Tovenarij, designed by Jeremy Jarvis first released in Jul, 2006 in the set Coldsnap and was printed exactly in 7 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.11.
Deze kaart zou nuttig zijn in een zwart controledek dat tot doel heeft belangrijke groene of witte wezens van het bord van de tegenstander te verwijderen om hun strategie te verstoren. Hoewel Deathmark een solide verwijderingsoptie is, zijn er veelzijdigere kaarten zoals Fatal Push of Murder die elk wezen kunnen aanvallen, ongeacht de kleur, waardoor ze over het algemeen betere keuzes zijn. Deathmark zou nog steeds spel in sideboards tegen groene of witzware decks kunnen zien, maar de effectiviteit ervan kan beperkt zijn in een meer diverse metagame.
