This card would be beneficial in a mono-green ramp deck that focuses on mana acceleration and land manipulation. While Deepwood Elder offers flexibility in turning lands into Forests, it may not be as efficient as other cards like Arbor Elf or Utopia Sprawl for ramping purposes. However, it could see play in a deck that requires temporary fixing or disruption of non-Forest lands.
