Dissolve is een veelzijdige kaart die de controledecks in Magic: the Gathering ten goede zou komen, omdat het zowel een manier biedt om spreuken tegen te gaan als om door het kaartspel te filteren met Scry 1. Hoewel Dissolve een solide keuze is voor controledecks, zijn er aantoonbaar betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Counterspell of Mana Leak, die een efficiëntere en onmiddellijke ontkenning van spreuken bieden. Uiteindelijk zou de beslissing om Dissolve in een kaartspel op te nemen afhangen van de specifieke strategie en speelstijl van de speler.

When you scry, you may put all the cards you look at back on top of your library, you may put all of those cards on the bottom of your library, or you may put some of those cards on top and the rest of them on the bottom.
