Dubbelhartigheid zou gunstig zijn in een controlespel dat zich richt op kaartvoordeel en manipulatie, omdat het herhaalde toegang tot verbannen kaarten mogelijk maakt en tegelijkertijd de strategie van de tegenstander mogelijk verstoort. Er zijn echter efficiëntere opties zoals Jace, de Mind Sculptor of Snapcaster Mage die vergelijkbare effecten bieden met minder instellingen en beperkingen, waardoor het minder waarschijnlijk is dat Duplicity in competitieve omgevingen wordt gespeeld.

The cards are face down all the time. You can’t look at them. This applies even to cards from your hand that got swapped out. You have to remember what they were if you care.
