Everdream kan nuttig zijn in een controle- of tempo-georiënteerd kaartspel dat waarde hecht aan het trekken van kaarten en de veelzijdigheid van spreuken. Hoewel het een goedkope manier biedt om een kaart te trekken en mogelijk andere spreuken te verbeteren door middel van splitsing, zijn er mogelijk efficiëntere kaarttrekkingsopties beschikbaar, zoals Opt of Serum Visions, die direct kaartvoordeel bieden zonder dat er extra instellingen nodig zijn. Of Everdream spel ziet, hangt af van de specifieke deckstrategie en meta-overwegingen.
