Forbidden Crypt zou nuttig zijn in een op kerkhoven gericht kaartspel dat tot doel heeft kaarten van het kerkhof terug te halen en te voorkomen dat ze daar worden geplaatst. Er zijn echter betere alternatieven, zoals Necropotence of Phyrexian Arena, die kaartvoordeel bieden zonder het risico te lopen het spel te verliezen.
