De Gigantoad-kaart zou een landfall-deck in Magic: the Gathering ten goede komen, omdat hij spelers beloont voor het beheersen van zeven of meer landen met een +2/+2 bonus, wat hem een potentieel krachtig en efficiënt wezen maakt. Hoewel Gigantoad een solide aanvulling kan zijn op een landfall-strategie, zijn er mogelijk betere kaarten beschikbaar, zoals Scute Swarm of Tatyova, Benthic Druid, die een consistentere waarde bieden in een landgericht deck.
