Infestation, Schepsel – elementaire incarnatie, designed by John Tedrick first released in Feb, 2026 in the set Alchemy: Lorwyn Eclipsed.
Deze kaart zou het beste passen in een -1/-1 counter-focused deck, vooral in formaten die Blowfly Infestation-combo's kunnen exploiteren (zoals casual, Commander of mogelijk Modern met de juiste shell), aangezien het oproepen van Blowfly Infestation en het onmiddellijk plaatsen van een -1/-1 counter op elk wezen krachtige kettingreactie-bordveegbewegingen kan veroorzaken wanneer wezens sterven; het werkt ook goed samen met hardnekkige wezens (zoals Kitchen Finks of Geralf's Messenger), Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons of Nest of Scarabs, waardoor massale tegenplaatsing in waarde wordt omgezet. Met vijf mana (of vier plus 2 leven met evoke) is het echter tamelijk traag en concurreert het met efficiëntere opties zoals Plague Engineer (goedkoper, onmiddellijke impact), Massacre Wurm (sterkere board swing), of zelfs gevestigde -1/-1 enablers zoals Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, die herhaalbare tegenplaatsing en combo-potentieel biedt; in de meeste competitieve omgevingen zijn die kaarten simpelwe
