Inspired Tethermage would fit best in a green-based Superfriends/counters deck—especially Simic, Bant, or Abzan builds—that runs many planeswalkers with “+” loyalty abilities, proliferate effects, and ways to repeatedly add loyalty counters, since it can become a large attacker while your planeswalkers advance their ultimates; however, it is probably too slow for competitive formats, because a 3-mana creature that does nothing immediately and requires a board of planeswalkers is vulnerable, while its {6} ability is extremely inefficient unless the game is already long and mana-rich. Cards such as **Lae’zel, Vlaakith’s Champion** are generally better at the same mana cost because she directly adds an extra counter whenever you put counters on a permanent, accelerating every planeswalker rather than merely growing herself, while **Carth the Lion** is stronger in Golgari Superfriends for finding and recurring planeswalkers, and **Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider** is a much more powerful high-
