**Intrepid Ace** is het meest geschikt voor agressieve rode decks, vooral degene die waarde hechten aan vroege druk, maar ook kunnen profiteren van wezens die achterblijven bij bemanningsvoertuigen (zoals in een Boros- of mono-red Vehicles-shell), omdat het groot blijft zonder aan te vallen of te blokkeren. De kaart is echter over het algemeen ondermaats volgens moderne Magic-standaarden, omdat hij alleen zijn +2/+0-bonus behoudt als hij *niet* aanvalt of blokkeert, wat ingaat tegen wat agressieve decks willen doen. In de meeste gevallen zorgen sterkere en efficiëntere alternatieven zoals **Monastery Swiftspear**, **Kumano Faces Kakkazan**, **Bloodthirsty Adversary** of zelfs klassieke, agressieve one-drops zoals **Goblin Guide** (in niet-standaardformaten) voor veel betere druk en synergie. Vanwege deze lastige beperking en het hoge machtsniveau van concurrerende rode wezens, zou Intrepid Ace zelden competitief spel zien en zou hij meestal beperkt zijn tot informele of niche-voertu
