Blokkerend apparaat, Artefact - apparaat, designed by Franz Vohwinkel first released in Dec, 2017 in the set Unstable. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.31.

Het Jamming Device zou vooral nuttig zijn in een controle- of midrange-deck dat tot doel heeft de bordstatus te beheren door tegenstanders te verzwakken, vooral tegen agressieve strategieën. Decks met kaarten als Liliana of the Veil of Doomsday kunnen verder profiteren van het -1/-1 effect door tegenstanders te dwingen verzwakte wezens weg te gooien of op te offeren. Hoewel Jamming Device effectief kan zijn in specifieke scenario's, kan het worden overtroffen door kaarten als Toxic Deluge of Wrath of God, die een uitgebreidere bordcontrole bieden. Over het geheel genomen zou het een rol kunnen spelen in nichestrategieën, maar het is misschien geen basisproduct in competitieve formats.

Contraptions are artifacts. Anything that interacts with artifacts will interact with Contraptions.

If you crank multiple Contraptions, their abilities can be put onto the stack in any order. The ability put onto the stack will resolve first.

If you or a permanent you control are instructed to assemble a Contraption, reveal the top card of your Contraption deck. Put it onto the battlefield on one of the three sprockets.

If you or a permanent you control assembles a Contraption and your Contraption deck is empty, nothing happens. You don’t lose the game.

In Constructed formats, a Contraption deck must have at least fifteen different Contraption cards and no more than one of each.
