Een kaartspel gericht op moerassen en zwarte wezens, zoals een mono-zwart of zwart-groen kaartspel, zou baat hebben bij het opnemen van Lashwrithe, omdat het de kracht van uitgeruste wezens snel kan vergroten op basis van het aantal gecontroleerde moerassen. Hoewel Lashwrithe een solide keuze is voor dergelijke decks, zijn er potentieel betere opties zoals Batterskull of Sword of Feast and Famine die extra voordelen bieden die verder gaan dan alleen een powerboost. Lashwrithe ziet echter nog steeds spel in bepaalde strategieën die afhankelijk zijn van moerassen en tactieken die veel wezens bevatten.
