Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het uitdelen van giffiches aan tegenstanders, zoals een geïnfecteerd kaartspel, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Leeches in Magic: the Gathering. Er zijn echter betere kaarten zoals Tainted Strike, waarmee een wezen tot het einde van de beurt kan worden geïnfecteerd, wat een efficiëntere manier biedt om giftellers uit te delen.
