Mindstorm-kroon, Artefact, designed by Ben Thompson first released in Oct, 2003 in the set Mirrodin. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.30.
Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het trekken van kaarten en het behouden van een lege hand zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Mindstorm Crown, zoals een controledeck of een combodeck waarbij specifieke kaarten moeten worden getrokken. Er zijn echter betere kaarten beschikbaar, zoals Rhystic Study of Phyrexian Arena, die een consistenter kaartvoordeel bieden zonder het nadeel dat er schade wordt aangericht. Mindstorm Crown ziet misschien geen wijdverbreid spel in competitieve Magic: the Gathering-decks vanwege het risicovolle karakter ervan, maar het zou nichetoepassingen kunnen hebben in specifieke strategieën.
