Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het genereren van waarde uit wezens met krachtige vaardigheden of een combo-georiënteerde strategie zou baat hebben bij Mirrorweave, omdat het meerdere kopieën kan maken van een belangrijk, niet-legendarisch wezen. Deze kaart kan krachtig zijn in een kaartspel met wezens met sterke vaardigheden op het slagveld of synergetische effecten. Soortgelijke kaarten zoals Quicksilver Gargantuan en Clone kunnen in bepaalde situaties flexibeler zijn, maar Mirrorweave kan voor unieke en onverwachte spelen zorgen die tegenstanders kunnen overrompelen. Er zou gespeeld kunnen worden in decks die explosieve wendingen of verrassende winstomstandigheden willen creëren, maar de effectiviteit ervan kan variëren, afhankelijk van de algemene strategie en metagame.

Each other creature copies the printed values of the targeted creature, plus any copy effects that have been applied to that creature. They won’t copy other effects that have changed the targeted creature’s power, toughness, types, color, or so on. They also won’t copy counters on the targeted creature (they’ll each just retain the counters they already have).

If the targeted creature is a token, each other creature copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that put it onto the battlefield. Those creatures don’t become tokens.

This effect can cause each other creature to stop being a creature. For example, if you target an animated Mutavault (a land with an activated ability that turns it into a creature), only the printed wording will be copied — the “becomes a creature” effect won’t. Each other creature will become an unanimated Mutavault.
