Prikkelend licht, Direct, designed by Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai first released in Apr, 2010 in the set Rise of the Eldrazi and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.31.

Het doorprikken van licht zou nuttig zijn in een White Weenie- of Aggro-kaartspel in Magic: the Gathering, waar het efficiënt verwijderen van kleine blokkers of aanvallers het spel in jouw voordeel kan beïnvloeden. Hoewel Puncturing Light een goede verwijderingsoptie is, bieden kaarten zoals Path to Exile of Swords to Plowshares veelzijdigere en krachtigere verwijderingsopties, waardoor ze in de meeste gevallen betere keuzes zijn. Puncturing Light zou echter nog steeds spel kunnen zien in specifieke meta's waar de beperking van 3 machten relevant is.
