Vurige ontkenning, Direct, designed by Scott M. Fischer first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.30.
Fervent Denial zou een waardevolle toevoeging zijn aan een controledeck in Magic: the Gathering, en een krachtig hulpmiddel bieden om de spreuken van de tegenstander tegen te gaan en mogelijk hun spelplan te verstoren. Gezien de hoge manakosten en de noodzaak om extra mana te betalen voor de flashback-mogelijkheden, is het echter misschien niet de meest efficiënte optie vergeleken met andere tegenspreuken zoals Counterspell of Cryptic Command, die vergelijkbare effecten bieden tegen lagere kosten. Over het geheel genomen zou Fervent Denial spel kunnen zien in bepaalde controledecks die de manavereisten kunnen betalen, maar er kunnen betere opties beschikbaar zijn, afhankelijk van de specifieke strategie en het specifieke format.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
