This card, Rebound, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategy by redirecting targeted spells. While Rebound can be situationally useful, a more versatile option like Redirect or Misdirection may be better choices as they can target any spell, not just those targeting players. Rebound could see play in specific metas where player-targeted spells are prevalent, but overall its narrow focus may limit its effectiveness in most decks.

You can’t use this on a spell unless the target spell is an Aura or uses the word “target” in its text. If it isn’t an Aura and the word “target” is not there, then the spell does not target a player at all—it just affects a player without targeting them.
