De Reflecting Pool-kaart zou ten goede komen aan meerkleurige kaartspellen die voor hun manabasis afhankelijk zijn van verschillende landtypen, waardoor er meer flexibiliteit ontstaat bij de manaproductie. Hoewel Reflecting Pool een solide optie is, zijn er betere alternatieven zoals Mana Confluence of City of Brass, die consistentere toegang bieden tot elke kleur mana zonder de beperking dat je een ander land in het spel nodig hebt. Reflecting Pool zou nog steeds spel kunnen zien in bepaalde decks die prioriteit geven aan mana-fixing en kleurtoegang.

Reflecting Pool doesn’t care about any restrictions or riders your lands put on the mana they produce, such as Pillar of the Paruns and Hall of the Bandit Lord do. It just cares about types of mana.
