About Rewrite Regrets
Rewrite Regrets, Sorcery, designed by Matt Stewart first released in september 2026 in the set Reality Fracture. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0,04.
Rewrite Regrets would fit best in a slower Dimir or Grixis graveyard-value deck that self-mills, loots, or trades creatures early and wants to recur impactful creatures or planeswalkers costing six or less, with extra appeal in a Jace-themed deck where the Empower Jace 2 mode provides repeatable surveilling or card draw; however, at four mana and sorcery speed, it is generally weaker than efficient reanimation staples such as **Reanimate** (one mana, any creature, at the cost of life), **Animate Dead** (two mana), **Exhume** (two mana, though symmetrical), **Persist** (two mana for a nonlegendary creature), and even **Victimize** in creature-heavy lists, while **Zombify** is the closest straightforward comparison at the same cost but can return creatures of any mana value. The planeswalker-recursion option and Jace token bonus give Rewrite Regrets a niche in casual, Commander, or custom-card Jace/graveyard decks, but it likely would not see competitive play unless the format lacks chea
Rules
21/08/2026
Empower Jace won't let you put loyalty counters on nontoken Jace planeswalkers. However, if you control a Jace planeswalker token that you got another way (such as an effect that creates a token that's a copy of a permanent), empower Jace will put loyalty counters on that.
21/08/2026
If a card in your graveyard has an {X} in its mana cost, X is 0 for the purpose of determining its mana value.
21/08/2026
If you control a Jace planeswalker token, you can't choose to create a new one when you empower Jace. You have to put the loyalty counters on your existing Jace planeswalker token. In the rare case that you control multiple Jace planeswalker tokens, you'll choose one of those tokens to put the loyalty counters on.
21/08/2026
Some spells and abilities that empower Jace may require targets. If each target chosen is an illegal target as that spell or ability tries to resolve, it won't resolve. You won't empower Jace.
21/08/2026
To empower Jace N, if you don't control a Jace planeswalker token, create a blue Jace planeswalker token with 0 loyalty, "[−1]: Surveil 1," and "[−3]: Draw a card." Choose a Jace planeswalker token you control. Put N loyalty counters on it.
