**Rootmanipulatie** (3BG) is het meest geschikt voor een **Golgari (zwart-groen) go-wide midrange- of tokenstrategie**, waarbij je het bord kunt overspoelen met wezens en die brede aanwezigheid kunt omzetten in een krachtige alfaaanval; dreiging maakt blokkeren moeilijk, de +2/+2 boost verhoogt de schade dramatisch, en de levenswinst bij een aanval helpt races in jouw voordeel te laten uitslaan. Het is het sterkst in decks die meerdere lichamen produceren (Saprolings, Insecten, Zombies of recursieve wezens) en een finisher van één beurt willen. Met vijf mana en tovenarijsnelheid concurreert het echter met sterkere en efficiëntere finishers zoals **Overrun**, **Craterhoof Behemoth**, **End‑Raze Forerunners** of zelfs **Triumph of the Hordes**, die vaak het spel ronduit winnen in plaats van alleen maar druk uit te oefenen op de tegenstander; zelfs **Return of the Wildspeaker** kan voor meer flexibiliteit zorgen.
