Ruby Collector, Creature — human detective, designed by Cristi Balanescu first released in May, 2024 in the set Alchemy: Outlaws of Thunder Junction.
Ruby Collector would benefit a white weenie aggro deck that focuses on swarming the board with small creatures and quickly overwhelming the opponent. While the ability to conjure a Mox Ruby can provide additional mana acceleration, there are likely better options for a one-drop creature in this type of deck, such as Savannah Lions or Soldier of the Pantheon, which offer immediate board presence and pressure. Overall, Ruby Collector may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its conditional ability and the availability of stronger one-drops for aggressive strategies.
