**Sprankelende toegift** past het beste in een Orzhov (wit/zwart) offer- of aristocraten-stijl deck dat wil dat wezens sterven voor hun waarde, vooral degenen met sterke doodstriggers (bijvoorbeeld Blood Artist-achtige effecten) of ETB-vaardigheden die je kunt hergebruiken. De +2/+0 maakt het tot een behoorlijke gevechtstruc, en met de “dies then return tapped”-clausule kun je een wezen veilig aanvallen, blokkeren of opofferen terwijl je het nog steeds behoudt, waardoor je in dezelfde beurt effectief de doodstriggers verdubbelt. Het concurreert echter met sterkere, efficiëntere opties zoals **Feign Death**, **Malakir Rebirth** en **Undying Malice**, die slechts één mana kosten en het wezen vaak ongebruikt of met een extra bonus teruggeven, waardoor ze flexibeler en mana-efficiënter worden.
