Een controle- of combo-deck dat tot doel heeft de strategieën van tegenstanders te verstoren en voordeel te halen uit hun hulpbronnen zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Sen Triplets. Hoewel het een krachtige kaart in het juiste kaartspel kan zijn, zijn er andere opties zoals Teferi, Time Raveler of Narset, Parter of Veils die in bepaalde situaties consistentere en directere waarde kunnen bieden. Sen Triplets zou spel kunnen zien in een kaartspel dat zich richt op het ontkennen en manipuleren van hulpbronnen, maar de hoge manakosten en de kwetsbaarheid voor verwijdering kunnen de effectiviteit ervan in competitief spel beperken.
